Fanny Singer is a writer, editor, and author of the new book Always Home: A Daughter's Recipes & Stories,  a cookbook and culinary memoir about growing up as the daughter of food icon and activist Alice Waters. Always Home chronicles Singer's life at Chez Panisse, her mother's famed farm-to-table Berkeley restaurant that opened in 1971, and their travels around the world, weaving in delicious recipes, mouth-watering traditions and charming depictions of Waters. In it, Singer shares her own culinary coming of age, as well as her take on her mother's impeccable standards for food, aesthetics, and organic produce.
