Ayana returns with a docket that has range, starting with Kylie Jenner getting sued again because apparently that’s just a personality trait at this point. She marks the BET Awards’ return after a stretch of feeling more like background noise than an event, and holds out hope they can actually make it matter again. She also opens with the saga of Gracie, a giraffe who went missing from Cedar Hollow Ranch in San Antonio, because 2026 was clearly missing a loose giraffe subplot. Then she unpacks Love Island and the very selective way “grace” gets extended depending on who’s asking for it. During the What They Aren’t Telling You segment, Ayana breaks down the two Supreme Court decisions everyone’s suddenly discussing at brunch, Trump v Slaughter and Watson v Republican National Committee, and what they actually mean for regular people, not just the people who get quoted on the news. And in the Off the Record segment, she talks through packing and prepping for her upcoming Japan trip, mostly proving that no amount of legal expertise prepares you for choosing walking shoes.
