When Billybobb and his Neighbor Jerry sat down to record this episode back in the middle of March 2020, the ugly truth of racism in America was still largely under the covers of a pandemic still growing wild. With the death of George Floyd (among others), the covers have been pulled back and the protests that are currently a daily happening across our country serve as a cry for change in our society. Although we didn't know it was on the horizon in our own world, we take a small bit of pride in posting this episode today. Music can stir and music can calm...it can open our eyes to truths we had previously been embarrassed to look at directly. We didn't choose these songs with any particular protest in mind...had we known what was coming, we may have changed what we chose to include. Be that as it may, here are our songs of protest.
