Identity death is something we all go through at different stages in our life. To me, it started happening once I left my home in Peru and came to Thailand. It feels like everything that happened before coming to Thailand was Book 1 of my life. And by coming here, I have started to write Book 2. I am still trying to discern what this Book 2 is even about, and being in the midst of pregnancy, it seems like only after the birth of this beautiful soul will I be able to know exactly what I am "writing about". And that is the beauty of it - diving into the unknown, dying and being born anew.
