Difficulties are an inevitable part of growing up. As we grow, our appreciation and awareness of life's difficulties also increases. This awareness makes us susceptible to the attacks of the enemy. However, if we learn to deal with the troubles of this life properly, we will transcend them and by that, gain great spiritual growth (mileage).
In this message, “Love Thy Neighbour Part 1”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter teaches what our focus must be in dealing with life’s difficulties. He emphasises the need to transcend them, rather than seek their immediate removal. He shares critical insights that must characterise our Christianity (spirituality). Finally, he explains why we must strive to transcend our challenges and how critical that is to being useful to others.
Scripture: Matthew 7: 24-25 KJV
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
