We have a divine calling to be sons of God, bearing the very nature of our heavenly Father—love—and reflecting it through our lives. But can we truly claim this sonship if we fail to love our enemies, bless those who curse us, and do good to them that hate us?

Men have been trained from birth to look for peace in the world by trying to control their outward circumstances. Even in dealing with people and offense, we use this same approach, but peace that is obtained this way does not last. God’s desire is to take us on a journey where we can experience true peace.

Choosing love instead of offense changes our perception of people. Rather than defining them by their sins, we ought to recognize the remnant— the good that God has preserved within them and see the potential for spiritual transformation.

God's mercy never fails—and He calls on every believer to extend that same mercy to others, through a life of forgiveness. For the one who desires to be a servant of God, forgiveness is non-negotiable.

If God does not count our sins against us or condemn us, why do we remain trapped in self-condemnation? Why do we feel too unworthy to receive His complete forgiveness? It is essential that we stop withholding from ourselves what God has already freely given and live in the blessedness of His absolute forgiveness.

Believers are called to live in alignment with the divine nature by forgiving those who offend them. Although the flesh or ego naturally responds to offense with retaliation, revenge, and self-preservation, we must rise above these tendencies and walk in divine love. Thus, true forgiveness is possible, even when others appear to have deliberately hurt us.

What would change if you truly believed that God's mercy toward you never changes? Many believers struggle to receive God's love because they measure it by their failures, and as a result, they find it difficult to extend that same mercy to others.
