By virtue of God’s divine foresight, He not only knows the future concerning us, but He also makes provision to help bring us into that future. Depending on the state of our hearts, this help either comes to encourage us to do the good we desire to do or to restrain us from doing the evil our hearts are set on. This divine effort towards us is called Grace. 

In this message, “Recipients of Grace - Part 1”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter teaches on the nature of God’s Grace. He explains what Grace is, how it comes to us, and elaborates on the freedom we have to either embrace it or reject it. He highlights why doctrine is potent and explains why doctrine equates to prophecy. Nothing in a believer’s life happens by chance — God’s unseen hand orders every detail for our growth and destiny. As we love Him and yield to His will, we align with that purpose, and all things begin to work together for our good.

The Lord has given us many promises in His Word that assure us of His constant presence and help in times of need. Yet, in the face of life’s challenges, we often struggle to hold on to this assurance. This is  because we have not heard from His Spirit regarding these challenges. This brings us to an all-important question—how can we hear from God?

Many believers often try to take control of their spiritual growth — praying harder, fasting longer, and striving to obey better— with the hopes of influencing God through their own efforts. But this kind of approach yields no results because we don’t have what it takes to affect God. The true success of prayer and fasting, as Pastor Jeffrey Walter reveals in this message, is based on one key ingredient that we leave out: the grace and quickening of God.

Spiritual things dwell and find expression in the material things that correspond to them. Our outward engagement can either stifle or allow divine operations to be manifested in our lives. When our outward engagements are rightly aligned, we are able to ‘trap’ the Spirit of God and manifest what is spiritual through our vessels—fasting is a key spiritual exercise that helps us in this regard.

God cares deeply about our material needs as he does about our spiritual needs, but many Christians fail to see the power of God in this light because one essential truth is often missed. These blessings flow only when our hearts are aligned with His Kingdom and His will.
