We are each plagued with many frailties. It is for this reason that God’s instruction (Word) is given. Each instruction aims at addressing a particular frailty present with us. The Word (instruction) of God therefore comes with a promise. This promise gives us a glimpse of what will become of us if we follow the word. The promise is the Holy Ghost, the wisdom of God in our interior mind, our present help in all our weaknesses. However, the carnal mind, which prioritizes the material, inhibits us from attaining the promise. Hence, the need to tarry in Jerusalem.
