One indicator that shows that we are truly being transformed is our love for the brethren (those on the same spiritual journey with us). Our love for the brethren stems from our appreciation of the agenda of God and our delight in His will being accomplished in the brethren. The uniting principle is in the common vision we share: the advancement of the Kingdom. As such, we need to overlook the shortcomings of the brethren and rather service what they would become so that the vision will thrive.
In the series, The Body of Christ, Pastor Jeffrey Walter talks about our individual placements and functions in the body of Christ. In this message, “Discerning The Body”, he explains what our love for the brethren entails. Further, he demonstrates why we as members of the body of Christ must prioritise our love for the brethren.
This message seeks to arm us to guard against allowing the shortcomings of the brethren to blind us of the corporate vision of advancing the Kingdom of God.
