01 The Word Of His Grace | The Nature Of The Word
The phrase, “the son of man” as used in the scriptures refers to the Lord as to the Word. When Jesus asked, “Whom do men say that I, the son of man am?”, He was enquiring of people’s thoughts and relationship with the Word.
We were made to receive life force from the Word. The Word of God, our creator, therefore possesses all the faculties and capabilities that form our make-up as humans. Since the things that plague us (fear, depression, anxiety, despair, anger etc.) are deep seated, we need to access higher dimensions of the Word in order to receive the help the word offers us in our troubles.
In the message, “The Word of His Grace: The Nature Of The Word”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter discusses how to appropriately relate with the word of God in order to receive the help available to us in the Word, so that we may know the Word as our saviour. He explains why many of the ways we usually relate with the word such as, a mere information, a good advice, an instruction, historic account, powerful message etc., do not satisfy our deep cravings.
