Rabbi Sara Rich is the executive director of Hillel of Buffalo. Hillel of Buffalo is affiliated with Hillel International, which serves Jewish college students on over 500 campuses worldwide. Hillel of Buffalo is based at the University at Buffalo and is available to Jewish students at UB, Buffalo State College, and all local campuses. Hillel is a multi-faceted hub of Jewish student life, which helps students connect with one another, live Jewish life and explore Jewish values, and provides opportunities for leadership, community service, travel, and professional development. She is completing her third year as the director here and her 9th year working for Hillel (She was an educator on the Princeton Hillel staff for six years prior). Her work in the past three years has been to work with staff and community volunteers to rebuild this organization to engage a more diverse group of students, to embrace innovation, and to strengthen ties with the local community, alumni, the university, and families.
