Eddie Sandoval, Founder of Pinole Blue, which a lot of people may know as the blue tortillas. We talk about how Eddie came up with the idea and how he learned about roasting corn and maize to make pinole. We discuss Eddie's journey from selling door-to-door, business to business and then reaching thousands of people around the world through social media and e-commerce and his love of running. “Start Something That Matters” a slogan he picked up from TOM’S Founder, Blake Mycoskie, Eddie’s start-up, Pinole Blue, has a mission to bring people together through food, by educating people about the Rarámuri (Tarahumara) community. Pinole Blue partners with local grassroots community members, Guachochi to support female Rarámuri (Tarahumara) artisans and provide donations to this community to help them sustain their traditions.
