Since going through infertility first hand, I’ve learned a lot. One of the biggest lessons thus far is that infertility doesn’t have an agenda. It doesn’t just pick bad people, it doesn’t just pick good ones. It strikes for a second child after it was so easy to get pregnant with the first. It affects the healthy ones, the sick ones. It doesn’t discriminate on gender or race. There is nothing we can do to prevent it and we didn’t do anything to deserve it. It just happens and it sucks.
After our first failed IUI, I’ve never felt so deep a pain in my entire life and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. But I knew Zach and I were meant to be parents and I knew this mess would one day be our message. That alone was worth fighting for, staying positive for, and it gave us the courage to try again even though I couldn’t bear the thought of the chance it could fail again and again.
1 in 8 will experience infertility in some capacity so don't turn your head and think this episode doesn't pertain to you. SOMEONE you know is experiencing this and understanding it can truly help. This week I am introducing you to Karly and Sean Kelly. A couple who has been BRAVE enough to share their journey through IVF, the hard times, male infertility, and all of the obstacles that went through it. If you want to truly understand the process and how to get through it TOGETHER, this is a great opportunity for you to listen in.
