In troubled times, there’s always a silver lining. We shouldn’t let this perfect curative crisis go to waste.
By takehome message I mean that endowed enlightening primeval common-sense which allows us to make sense of things, and which, without it, has us at best, perplexed, and, at worse, simply babbling nonsense.
It is built in us since get-go, but, lacking awareness of it, means, that the more we fix things, the more we make things worse.
In order to address the cause, we need to aim our efforts at the foot of the fire, and, not at the flames, for fear of further fueling the crisis.
Let’s start from square one, with defining our concepts in order to gain clarity in the quest. We start by mentioning broken times, then it stands to reason that we know what it means to be whole. Right? By all accounts this seems to be a good place to start.
From pre-K, we’re told that the whole is made up of parts. Well, in all truthfulness, this definition of whole is what put us in the hole, to begin with, no pun intended. All it tells us is that if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. But, what if it is broken? It doesn’t tell us anything.
How can we fix things, if we don’t even know what it means to be whole, to begin with?
There must be a take-home message that life teaches us. How to be whole. But, what is whole made up of? Parts, you say? But, how so? That I may know how to piece the parts of the puzzle together.
In this age of ours, driven by science-&-technology, what is the takehome message, that provides us the tools to be successful on Earth? The Takeaway is the answer to the question of what makes up the Whole, of what makes us Whole.
I work for AustinISD teaching science to at-risk students at the Travis County Juvie facility.
I’m running for Congress because I rediscovered the Takeaway. I need to share it, the good news cannot, and should not die with me, it needs to see the light of day.
I am running for the United States House of Representatives, District 21 Texas. District 21 comprises Southwest Austin, everything west of IH 35 from Buda to Northwest San Antonio, including San Marcos and the Hill Country.
2 Takeaway
Let me cut to the chase, and tell you upfront about the most powerful, wonderful, human rediscovery of all times. Later on, standing on one foot I will walk you through the steps of the argument, but, first let me tell you what the Takeaway is. What is the takehome message that life teaches us?
Let me explain it with pecans, literally with pecans. I teach science, and in physics I learned early on to explain complicated things by way of user-friendly models.
What I am about to present may shock you. But, one thing I can promise you. You will not come out of this experience the same person you came in. It’s that powerful. So, then, without further ado, let’s do it. As mentioned, I will start by the conclusion, leaving the reasoning till later.
Let me layout the Pecan Seed-of-Life Model for the Takeaway. By the way, the pecan is actually native to today’s southwest US and northeast Mexico. It is the state tree of Texas. So, it is only fitting and proper to name the Takeaway model honoring our friendly pecan.
Just as the pecan is made up of a husk, shell, and kernel; so, I will map the husk as a square frame background, the enclosed shell I will map as an ellipse, as middle ground, and, lastly, I will map the kernel that is housed inside foreground, as a complex right-triangle.
In words, this model is saying that the whole is made up of a triad of parts.
