Hear the story of Samara who was a member of the Journey To Licensure study group community. Samara reported that she wasn’t sure that she would be able to make her dream come true of becoming a social worker due to felony convictions that happened over 17 years ago. However, she reported that she didn’t not let that stop her from obtaining her master’s license. In 2020, she lost her 17- year old son due to gun violence. She took the master level exam and passed on her first try.
