“off track”= 偏离正轨，离谱. 举例：

这个公司偏离正轨 Thecompany has got off track.

你喜欢做啥都行，只要别太离谱就好。 Dowhatever you like, as long as you are not off track.

那么，相反“on track”, 就是在正轨上。

     我们应该恢复到正轨上去，这样才不会错过最后期限。

     We shouldget back on track so we do not miss the deadline.

不偏离正轨又是和思路相关的。例如，自己是否有思路，大家思路是否一致。路便可用”train of thought” – “train”是火车一节节的在走不可中断。

思路也类似，不可中断，不可拆出来一节，那就麻烦了。

我赶不上他的思路。I couldn'tfollow his train of thought.

我失去了思路。 I lost my train of thought.
