02 Breaking The Chains Of Addiction | The Key Of Self Examination

Listen Later

Why do you want to be set free from your addiction? Is it because society frowns upon it? An action is sinful not from the action itself but from the reason behind it. Self examination is the key that exposes this reason. It is the beginning of true repentance, which is how you will break out of your addiction. Without self-examination, one cannot know the sin in their heart, let alone repent from it. What then is self-examination and how can one examine their heart honestly?

In this series, “Breaking the Chains of Addiction”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter presents an eye-witness exposé on how to successfully journey from the bondage of addiction into permanent freedom. He draws lessons from his own journey and profoundly ministers the grace of God.

In this episode, “The Key of Self-Examination”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter seeks to draw our attention to the crucial role of Self-examination in overcoming our addictions. With several examples, he explains its essence in the journey of repentance and how to examine one's heart honestly before the Lord.

This message will inspire you to begin searching your heart honestly and consistently before the Lord. You will be urged unto the Christian life of perpetually examining the intentions behind your every action. You will also be led to open your heart to the Lord that He may show you the gravity of your addiction

Note: This message is one of a 7-part series preached during the Breaking the Chains of Addiction Special Program held in February 2024. Kindly listen to the entire series for a complete understanding.
