#02 Design Your Life Free from Pressure and Emotional Baggage

Listen Later

In this conversation, Genelle is joined by relationship and boundaries expert Natalie Lue and career and life design coach Selina Barker to tackle the complex world of goal setting and personal growth. Together, we dive deep into what it means to set meaningful goals, explore the impact of relationships and boundaries on achieving success, and discuss how to navigate the fear of both failure and success.

Selina shares her unique approach to life design, explaining why focusing on quarterly commitments and intentions might be more effective than traditional goal setting.

Natalie offers insight into how our emotional baggage and social conditioning can derail our best-laid plans, and why understanding your “why” is crucial when setting goals.

The conversation takes a closer look at how goal setting intersects with personal values, relationships, and societal expectations. We discuss why we often feel pressure to conform to societal milestones—whether in our careers, relationships, or personal achievements—and how to challenge that narrative.

Join us for a refreshing and honest discussion on designing a life that aligns with who you truly are, letting go of goals that no longer serve you, and embracing the journey, not just the destination.
