Professor Tony Mathers is the host of Grappling Groundwork and the architect of GrapplerPedia. He is a 1st degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and holds a bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Penn State. He only regrets one of these life choices. Aside from all things martial arts, much to his wife’s chagrin, he is a mega nerd. In his spare time he trains his young sons to be just like him. His teenage daughters don’t seem to care. 

Prof Tony has made it his life’s mission to build ladders. Too many in the world have reached their position in life only to pull the ladder up behind them, fiercely guarding it, creating a dogma that takes from all those below. He aims to fix this by starting with BJJ. Care to join him?
