Righteousness (synonymous to Priesthood) is good works from a good motive and true understanding. Every transformation the Lord wroughts in man is unto this end. Man is transformed through his journey in the Wilderness. This journey, which is defined by fasting from evils, begets hunger and thirst after righteousness. Thus, such a man partners with God's harvest of souls.
In this series, “The Work Of The Ministry”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter shows in detail what constitutes the work of the ministry and our participation in it.
In this episode, "Hungering After Righteousness", Pastor Jeffrey Walter explains what it means to hunger and thirst after righteousness, and how the Lord triggers a man to be in that state through the Wilderness and spiritual perception of truth.
This message is a call to become insatiable till one is burdened with souls — for the fields are white and the harvest is plenteous.
Key Scriptures:
"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Matthew 5:6
"Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest." John 4:35
"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4
