The Word of God that comes to us is in three levels: the instructions, the wisdom behind the instructions, and the love that inspires them. However, in our initial encounter with truth, we often grasp only the instructions, without fully perceiving the wisdom and love embedded within the Word. Thus, we easily misrepresent God's intention and deeper wisdom behind His commands.
In this series, Pastor Jeffrey Walter teaches on what it truly means to have an encounter with God, exploring the nature and purpose of the two dimensions of encountering God. He discusses the often lonely road of bearing true witness to the truth we encounter in God and the need for submission in our dealings with the Lord as we seek to truly encounter Him.
In this episode, “The Infallible Proofs - Part 2”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter details the two dimensions of encounter with the Lord. He explains why the unspiritual man (one who is at the first dimension of encounter) is incapable of apprehending the love and multifaceted wisdom of God.
Pastor Walter demonstrates that it is through obedience to God's instructions at the first encounter, that we are ushered into the second dimension of encounter, where we truly know the Lord's heart and understand His wisdom — the sure testimonies of the Lord. At this stage, we prefer His ways and employ His wisdom in our dealings. He further reveals that this type of encounter inspires awe in us towards God because we see the immensity of His love and how great and wondrous His works are.
Ultimately, this leads us into gratitude — for His Will, and the ways by which He leads us.
