Worldwide, our children, defined as under the age of eighteen, number 2.2 billion. With approximately 500 million to 1.5 million children witnessing violence in their lives. 367 million join, or are forced to join armies. Approximately 258 million are out of school. 1.3 billion are without internet, and approximately, 2 million don’t even have a computer to access the internet.
Is it a wonder that 37% of children commit some form of crime by the time they are 18 years of age, and approximately 1 million children are currently incarcerated worldwide, but who has the answer to this problem?
Parents say that education, teachers and religious tenets should be raising their children, and yet, educators, teachers and religious leaders look towards the parent to solve this controversial problem, and each one, parents and teachers alike can’t agree on the punishment children should receive when they commit a wrongful act.
So, who has the solution?
Join our panel, on Saturday, 4:00 pm (EST), 1:00 pm (PST), 9:00 pm (GMT), as we discuss the merits of giving control of the children to professionals, or giving parents the power to punish their children in the way they see fit.
