It is coming…
A world where machines do every little thing without your say so, you just have to set it up…
A vacuum that cleans on it’s own, and an assembly line that operates without human intervention, cars and automobiles that drive themselves, while you’re sitting in the passenger sleeping, or browsing Facebook or Twitter. There’s even an automated guide dog now available, though not in the general public, as yet, but the manufacturers claim they should have a public ready unit in one to two years.
We already live with plenty of automation. Large metropolitan cities are mostly automated, lighting, public works, public transportation, but is this type of world healthy or even wise to let such automation get more advanced to the point that human intervention is unnecessary, even unwanted?
How much should people do for themselves, and how much should they automate?
