What is Dori's recommendation for people with food? Don't over think it! Simplify the dish or upgrade the dish to healthy foods. Change the oil in a recipe to a healthy oil - extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil. Add herbs & spices to add a ton of flavour. Is there anything they could do to help with digestion? Just because there is a table of lots of foods in front of you, you don't have to eat it. Chew slowly and enjoy your food. When you are taking your time, you are giving your body time to signal that it is full. Add digestive enzymes BUT if you eat lots of fibre, to help your elimination. Have a drink of apple cider vinegar to aid in your digestion. Nancy's Recipe for Lemonade that she drinks daily: 2 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 3 drops of liquid stevia 2 cups filtered water Stir and enjoy! Dori's tip: 2 inches ginger 2 cups water Blend it on high & strain to remove pulp. Dori says to add the ginger juice to the lemonade recipe above for a fiery start of your day! What about the sweet things? When making something for a potluck, make something with stevia or cinnamon (which is both natural sweeteners). Coconut oil has a nice sweetness to it or use fruit to sweeten your dishes. Instead of white sugar, substitute with coconut sugar or xylatal sweetener. When your body is getting too much sugar, it will play havoc on your good bacteria in your gut. Always modify to something healthy!
