I came across an article on childmind.org written by Caroline Miller. I was intrigued by the title of the article ‘Panic Attacks and How to Treat Them’. Well now, surely it’s much better to banish panic attacks completely. Get rid of them altogether and live a panic free life?
Ms Miller’s article, however, clearly indicates that it is impossible to banish panic attacks and that all anyone can do is ‘treat them’. I respectfully disagree. For years I have very successfully helped people banish their panic attacks, completely and permanently.
It states that research shows that many clinicians recommend cognitive behavioural therapy as the first-line treatment, with medication added, if necessary, to make the patient sufficiently comfortable to participate in the therapy.
In this episode, I discuss why this is rather worrying, and to put bluntly, wrong.
The way to overcome Chronic Hyperventilation Syndrome is by re-training the body to breathe in a correct, healthy manner. Check out the breathing retraining programme on my website: www.yourpanicfreelife.com With the right approach and total dedication to the programme, panic attacks can be totally eliminated from your life.
