Key Takeaways:

Imagine the ending you want in your life and work your way back from there

The self doubting voice in your head sounds like you and feels like you. YET, it is not you. It is usually a voice from your childhood.

When you hear negative things about you from others or from your inner voice, you can take things one of two ways. You can either say “this person is speaking truth” or you can say “I don’t want to be the person they are describing.”

Defining moments can be life sentences where we spend the rest of our lives trying to prove ourselves guilty of ‘not being good enough’ — OR, they can drive your passion.

Self-care and self-love are the answer to keeping your self-doubt in check. It is cheesy, but it is true.

Don't entertain self-doubt. Silence it straight up. Don't allow yourself to go into the rabbit hole. Don't feed it.

Don't ever give value to other people's opinions, no matter if it is positive or negative, unless it comes from somebody who has a stake in your success (NBA champion Brian Scalabrine’s advice to Elix from episode 4).

Getting a grip means getting a hold of what you love and not giving up on yourself.

If you think you are not good enough, write down that you are not good enough then write 5 things that you are amazing at right next to it. Prove your inner critic wrong.

You don't get what you want, you get what you are.

Say this to your inner critic (instead of just calling it a liar):

“I hear you. I hear you don’t feel good enough and I understand why. But, it is not MY reality. My reality is that I have everything it takes.”

How do you silence your inner critic? What works best for you? How do you avoid falling into the rabbit hole? Tell us in the comments!

Also don’t forget: “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” -Jim Rohn
