James Perez is the Assistant Director of Football Sports Performance at Stanford University. Prior to being elevated to his current role, he had previous stops as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Fresno State University, as the Director of Athletic Performance at Sacred heart Schools in Atherton, CA, a Physical Therapy Aid at PT Northwest, as well as professional internships at both Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley.
Perez was a dual sport athlete at Willamette University as a part of the baseball team for two ½ years and the football program for four years before beginning his professional career overseas in the European Football League. Perez competed in the 2011 and 2012 seasons in Finland as a triple-position threat, defensive back, wide receiver and return specialist, for the Jyvaskyla Jaguaarit.
