In this episode of The Couragecast, I'm chatting with Naomi Cowan, talented singer-songwriter about her decision to leave a successful career in media to pursue her legacy as a reggae artist in Jamaica. Naomi is by far one of the most effervescent women you will ever encounter. She is kind and compassionate to everyone she meets which is one of the reasons she has been able to share her voice and beliefs cross-generationally. As the daughter of the reggae icon Tommy Cowan Carlene Davis, she felt a strong pull towards her roots and this fall released the single "Things You Say You Love" which has had tremendous success and given her a platform to give back to the community she grew up in. In this episode, Naomi shares how she came to the realization that it was time for her to risk her comfortable life in Toronto and pursue her calling to be a reggae artist. Although she was hesitant to give up other dreams she had for her life, she knew that she had to take this one step of boldness to see what would happen from her step of obedience.
