At the risk of repeating myself...everything is energy and energy can be changed - at least that is what I keep saying. But what about these bodies of ours? I strongly believe that we are here to experience raising our consciousness while being in a human body. Am I right? Who knows...I don't think anyone knows for sure. I am just going by what I read and by what I hear and feel. There is a way to listen to the reactions in your body to know if it feels true for you - but that is another podcast. Today, the chosen topic is taking care of our vessels. For those of you that know my history, when I change something in my life, I tend to have a class on it and share the information with everyone who is interested. This all started when my Grandmother passed away with colon cancer. She had suffered with constipation throughout her life - which ended with cancer. This sparked something within me to research constipation and how to prevent it - because I too, experienced it from time to time. This all started 30 years ago and I have tried just about anything - experimenting on myself what works and what doesn't work. Whenever I would learn something new, I would share the info with others - being passionate about helping people to NOT suffer the same fate as my Grandma! I have had classes on rawfood, food combining, even the ketogenic lifestyle. The one thing that they all have in common is that they are doing something good for our body - for the vessel that we are temporarily using. If you listened to my last podcast (025 - What if...Today was YOUR Last Day?), I talked about how we simply do not know when our life will be over. It is our job to take care of our bodies - and the better we take care of our vessels, the healthier & happier our lives will be. I like to call this fuelling our body with amazing energy. For years, it was my belief that you had to eat rawfood to attain the enzymes for your body to function and there is still a part of me that believes that. I experienced that amazing lifestyle for over 10 years, until my body started giving me signs that the food was not digesting anymore. That is when you should be listening. At that point, I had a choice of continuing on the path and ignoring the signs...OR opening myself up to the possibility that rawfood was not what my body wanted anymore. I opened myself up and moved to experience actually listening to what my body wanted. In a spiritual sense, your body knows exactly what it requires to build cells and rejuvenate...we just need to get out of the way. We have a strong belief system of what is right and what is wrong...we judge the food as good or bad. What would happen if we just ate what the body required? Our mind has more power than we could ever imagine having. If we could eat something once thought of as 'bad for you' and NOT have that thought that it was 'bad for you' - would that change the energy? YES...it would! I am in the habit of blessing the food that I consume - even my drinks. By simply being grateful for the food or drink, THAT changes the vibration of it. Then there is that moment that you would like to sit down and have a burger...but I won't eat at McDonald's and no amount of blessing can change the energy of something that you believe is BAD for you. What then? What I am open to experiencing is that I will listen to my body! What does IT want? What does IT crave? Our cravings tend to be something that our body is lacking...now I hate to burst your bubble...if you are craving chocolate, your body probably needs magnesium. This can be so complicated can't it? And that is why, I will fuel my vessel - with foods that are organic and filled with nutrients. I think that it is important to eat a variety of foods so that your body does not get sensitive to one thing (which is what can happen if you eat too much of one food). Above all, listen to your body...if you get constipated...that food is not what your body needs. Every single one of us is different! I am doing well on this ketogenic diet, however, I know people who have tried it and didn't care for it - even got sick. I did well on a rawfood diet for over 10 years before my body was sending me a very clear message...enough already and I had to open myself up to eating another way. Muscle testing is an awesome way to talk to your body to find out what IT would like. I have taught my clients how to test their body to simply see if you really are hungry. Most times when you feel hungry...your body is simply sending you a message that it is thirsty for water. Are you interested in learning how to muscle test? One thing remains the same though - you can bless the food by being grateful for what is in front of you and this will raise the vibration of what you are about to consume. Remember, we never know how long we will be here, so taking care of this body should be the most important thing you do.
