Zach says that if you are listening to this podcast you might be into radio or some sort of audio podcasting, etc. and if you wanted to get in you got to find a way to get in. In his case, the route he went is he went to college. Zach graduated with a degree in Journalism. He knew from an early age that he wanted to be in radio and he really don’t use his degree in any shape or form. He’s already interning in a radio station which is why he taught he might become a Sports Journalist and interview people for a living so he chose Journalism. With today’s technology, you can ask for an internship in radio station or you could buy a little bit of podcasting equipment and you can start with your cellphone. You can do all of that and just start once a day doing a podcast. Buy your podcast equipment, start a podcast, do it 5 days a week. It will take you a year or 2 years, you got to post it to the internet and over time you will hone your craft and you will done it more or less on your own. Start now and do your podcast. If you are someone who wants to break into the business, you can do it this way. You don’t have to apply anywhere for a job. You can either intern or you can start a podcast or you can do both if you have the time. Hone your craft by starting a podcast now if you really want a job in radio.
