In this episode, Corissa discusses how it is totally normal to experience both positive AND negative circumstances in life. The idea of finding 100% happiness and avoiding all negative emotions is not reality... even though we are conditioned to believe it is possible through the endless fairytales & happy endings we've grown up seeing in movies & on television.
We are meant to experience *both* “good” AND “bad” feelings & emotions in life. With practice & awareness, we can learn how to be at peace with our negative emotions and learn how to manage uncomfortable feelings rather than ignore them. When we ignore negative emotion, it only bites us in the ass in the end.
To accept and allow yourself to FEEL negative emotion is to find true freedom, as long as we don’t sit in the negative emotion too long.
