4 Key Takeaways:

We all have an inner critic. To begin standing up to your inner critic, ask yourself: would you allow someone to talk to you the way your inner critic speaks to you? You can also ask yourself: would you allow someone to talk to someone you love the way your inner critic speaks to you? If the answer is no, why are you allowing yourself to operate based on that myth?

We allow our inner critic to speak to us in unacceptable ways because we allow our inner critic to run on autopilot. We don’t question it. Instead, ask yourself: what is the story you want to own of yourself? Are you living it?

If you don’t have a support system that already exists, find somebody out there who is struggling and support each other. You have an enormous contribution to give the world. You can make an impact.

When negative events take place and your inner critic starts raising their voice, stay focused by going back to your purpose. Focus on what you are here on Earth for. Mute the inner critic by keeping your eye on the bigger picture. Disempower your inner critic by focusing on what you’re good at and leave your weaknesses behind.

“People don’t want to be told what to do. They want to hear what you did that was so mind blowing that they think they have the permission to be mind blowing as well.” —Donna Karlin
