When looking for a remote position, you must remember to de-emphasize non-relevant experiences, that may not apply in the remote space. A resume that you'd use for an onsite position, may not be relevant for an offsite/remote position. You have but a few minutes to grab the attention of a recruiter/hiring manager, think short and specific. 

You want the hiring manager to know that you understand what they are looking for and one look at your resume, reflect that you are the right candidate. 

This is no time to leave room for reader interpretation, you want the hiring manager to know exactly what you bring to the table and how it translates to you being the best person for that particular job.
