03: How to be Present Minded All The Time

Listen Later

There are four main things that will preserve the presence of our mind:

Quality Sleep

It’s hard these days to get a good sleep. There’s loads of task and goals to accomplish. We force out our brain cells to function at the time of sleep. We deprive our minds and body to rest. At some point, It affects our decision making and the mind is not ready to provide you with sensible information to support your thought. Lack of sleep will make you agitated, irritated, impatient and as a result, we’re not able to focus.

Drink Lots of Water

Drinking lots of water increase your brain power and energy. Water is the main source of our strength aside from food. Water regulates our body and carries out the fluid to and from our sensory organs. It’s the messenger of our body.  Generally, diseases arise when we’re lack of water. So it is important to be hydrated all the time. It will remove all the toxins from our body.  Then we will feel refreshed and our mind will feel relax and ready to take on bulks of information.

Healthy Diet

When we’re kids, our parents ensure that we eat healthy and nutritious food in order to have fully developed brains. As we grew older, it is advised to maintain proper diet so we could sustain the energy and nutrients that our body needs. Our brains are at peace when our body is in good condition. Overall, being healthy is everything. It will power up your brain functionality. Let me suggest good food for your brains: Fatty Fish, Blueberries, Broccoli, Pumpkinseed, dark chocolate, and nuts.

Keeping an Active Mind

They say that to keep your mind alert you must continue learning and challenging your intellects. Our mind is stimulated when we study or when we are challenged by experience or by new learning. When we keep our mind active the blood regulates normally, circulating a good flow inside the body. And with that, we feel conditioned and will have good perspective about life.

Presence of mind will help us do good in whatever activity we have. Whether you're reading a book, or listening to someone talking, this will help you be aware of what's really happening. Imagine that you're crossing the street and if you're not presently aware you might not notice the sudden car rushing to your direction. That kind of accident happens but it could be avoided if you're presently minded. You might have dodge already before the car gets to you.

Presence of mind can also make you a good listener, when you're talking to someone this will help you become a good conversationalist as you're aware about what the other person is talking about. And that conversation is spontaneous. You're ready to give good advice.
