03.01.26 - Meditation Foundations - Being with the Breath

Hello hello. Good morning, friends.

We’re starting a new month together and, as promised, we’re turning our attention back to the foundations of our meditation practice.

This is a great time to begin a regular practice or get back to one. If you have an established practice, I think returning to these foundations can help us let go of what we think our practice should look like. I love to go back to meditation instruction. It allows me to drop the ideas that I know anything and have that beginner’s mind once again. It’s a sweet experience.

Today, we have a short and simple practice to just be with the breath. We spend so much of our time not thinking about it, what’s it like to really sit and be with the flow of the inhale and exhale? There’s no judgment here for distractions. The only thing to do is to be with the breath and return to it as you need.
