Teaching students to write procedural texts is easy, right?! I know it seems like just writing down a bunch of steps, but there's so much more to it!

This type of writing first requires students to:

• understand the procedure for what they are going to write about [a recipe, an experiment, directions...]
• break that procedure down into steps
• get the steps in the right order
• use the right transition words
• and a lot more!
