The Lord promises to reveal Himself to those who keep His commandments. This is because the keeping of the commandments allows for the barrier to be removed - so that we can contact the Spirit of truth. The perception of the Lord we contact in the spirit ought to descend to the lowest part of our being, i.e., our most external parts. The Lord does this by employing our imagination.
