Many of us believers often carry the burden of worry, particularly about meeting our material needs and making progress in our spiritual walk with the Lord. These worries can easily distract us, turning our focus and efforts toward finding solutions for our material needs rather than genuinely seeking God. Yet, Jesus calls us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that He is faithful to provide all that we need—both spiritually and materially—for our life here on earth.
In this series, Pastor Jeffrey Walter teaches on the Kingdom of God and how its power and glory should be rightly perceived. He explains how men often abuse the Kingdom’s power to pursue carnal desires and personal glory. He emphasises the need to yield to God in the pursuit of His Kingdom, as well as God’s unfailing provision to sustain and outwardly manifest the spiritual life (good), implanted in those who genuinely seek His Kingdom.
In this episode, “Food and Raiment”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter explains why believers are often afflicted by life’s challenges and how they can find true relief, even when their circumstances do not change. He emphasises the importance of focusing on seeking the Kingdom of God rather than being consumed with finding solutions to material problems, highlighting valuable lessons and benefits of this spiritual approach. He further delves into Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 6:24–34, unveiling its deeper spiritual meaning to explain God’s provision for the formation, sustenance and the outward manifestation of the spiritual life in believers here on earth He points out how believers should rightly perceive their material needs and admonishes them not to be anxious about how their spiritual or material needs will be met, but to trust in the Lord’s unfailing provision. Finally, he urged all believers to genuinely seek the Lord's rulership in their minds, hearts and to live a life of divine usefulness.
Beloved, do not be afraid to fully submit to the pursuit of the Kingdom of God. Do not be overwhelmed by your spiritual and material needs. The Lord knows and is faithful to provide all that you need for life.
