In God's governance, spiritual leadership serves not only to lead people to Christ but also to help them discover their unique role within the body of Christ. Through the leadership He has ordained, God raises and trains us, guiding us toward our divine purpose in His Kingdom.
But how do we discover our purpose in God’s kingdom? And what role does spiritual leadership play in helping us understand and fulfil our place within it?
In this October 2024 Special Programme, Pastor Jeffrey Walter sheds light on the underlying principles governing spiritual leadership, as established in heaven, and how leadership in the church (on the earth) must be patterned after this. He illustrates how to honour spiritual leadership, explains the essence of point of contact, uncovers pride as the stumbling block to receiving from spiritual leadership, and establishes the link between leadership and purpose.
In this episode, “Leadership and Purpose”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter emphasises the distinct relationship between spiritual leadership and purpose in God’s kingdom. He explains that the best way to discover one’s purpose in God’s kingdom is through submission to spiritual leadership. He also highlights the divine authority endowed to leaders by God to accomplish the vision of their group, stressing the importance of subordinates recognizing and submitting to this authority in order to fully benefit from it.
This message will deepen your appreciation for spiritual leadership and encourage you to submit to it.
Theme scripture: Ephesians 4: 11- 16
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
