Krysia Baron served for 24 years as a Federal Officer with the National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service. Her life, family, and career was forever changed on December 5, 2013 when her husband, Sgt. Robert Baron of the Sandoval County, NM Sheriff's Office, was struck and killed while investigating a traffic accident.
