Milk or meat? That’s the question Hebrews 5 throws at us. “Everyone who continues to feed on milk is inexperienced and unskilled in the doctrine of righteousness.” (Hebrews 5:13 AMPC).

In this opening episode, Alex lays the foundation of the whole series. Righteousness is not a goal you strive toward — it is a Person you live from. The Father’s eternal initiative was fulfilled in the exchange of the Cross, where Christ became what you were so you could become what He is.

We’ll unpack three core truths that move us from infancy to the maturing son:

1️⃣ Righteousness is the Father’s initiative — it began in Him, not in you.

2️⃣ The Cross was an exchange — Christ became sin so you could become His righteousness.

3️⃣ Righteousness is a Person — Christ Himself, your wisdom, sanctification, redemption, and life.

Ask Yourself:

→ What was in your milk bottle when you were first born again — self-effort, or the revelation of Christ as your righteousness?

→ Am I still circling forgiveness and reassurance, or have I begun to eat the solid food of sonship?
