Today's guest Cici Owen shares the story of her painful past and how her faith helped her overcome it all. She had never met her birth mother and was left wrapped in a blanket in her birth father's sink with a note attached stating, "She's your responsibility now." She ended up growing up in a black middle-class household and was raised to become a lady. She learned how to speak properly, curtsy and walk by balancing a book on her head. Cici did well in school and wanted to become a doctor until her life changed forever. When she was only 9 years her father, or "sperm donor as Cici calls him", dropped her off in the ghetto with a strange woman who he said would be her new month. From there on she dealt with abuse, being bullied and beaten, dealt with racism and eventually became homeless and turned to the streets. Cici has an incredible story to share that will inspire many. She was being forged by fire!
