Expectations are ruining your life. Or rather, unmet expectations are ruining your life.

1. Was the expectation communicated clearly?
2. Did others involved acknowledge that they understood the expectation?
3. Was the reaction/consequence for the unmet expectation communicated? Was it fair and judicious?
4. Were there extenuating circumstances that caused the expectation to go unfulfilled?
