The process of battling an addiction is akin to the process of battling for the removal of evil from our hearts (salvation). It is an arduous feat, which appears elusive yet is attainable, if only one would continue on the path of repentance (change of mind and life according to the Word of God).
In this series, “Breaking the Chains of Addiction”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter presents an eye-witness exposé on how to successfully journey from the bondage of addiction into permanent freedom. He draws lessons from his own journey and profoundly ministers the grace of God.
In this episode “The War II - Staying in the Battle”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter recaps what repentance is and illustrates how obeying the Word of God brings us into contact with the Holy Ghost - the spiritual perception of truth. Furthermore, he demonstrates how the Lord removes evil from a man's heart, if he keeps pressing on in the battle against addiction despite the fact that freedom seems like an impossibility.
The God of your weary years and silent tears, who has brought you thus far, will bring you to an expected end. The day of your freedom will seem like a dream. Keep striving. Victory is ahead!
