Sin (an evil intent, false thought and its consequent action) is man's greatest problem. It destroys his heart and warps his mind thereby blocking him from receiving divine affection and divine wisdom from God. Thus, sin makes man susceptible to diverse plagues from hell, rendering him powerless. Subsequently the man concludes he cannot overcome sin. Is it possible for man to be delivered from sin? What help does God offer to men in this regard?
This December 2024 End of Year Special Program presents a series on the Word of God. The importance and nature of the Word of God (scriptures) are explained. Teachings are presented on how doctrine and the scriptures can be understood and confirmed, as well as what the mindset of a “Fisher of Men” must be in sharing truth (doctrine) with others. Indeed, this is the season to rise up and labour in His harvest !
In this episode titled “Fishers of Men (Part 2)”, Pastor Jeffrey details what sin is and its adverse effects on men. He explains how God offers help to men to free them from the bondage of sin. He highlights the reality of God's eternal promise to man in the Scriptures: Remission of sin (actual removal of sin from the heart and holding him in good forever) through repentance (shunning evils in life). He emphasizes how this is the only true Gospel which is capable of setting men free, and as such must be preached to all men.
Beloved, you can be truly free from the sin that easily entangles you. You can stop sinning and be made righteous by the help of God. Hallelujah!
