In a world that tells us that we set our own course and no one can tell us what to do, the power and authority of Jesus Christ must be properly acknowledged. In Mark 1, we see Jesus' power and authority on display. He heals the sick, casts out demons, and raises the dead. These actions demonstrate that Jesus is the Son of God, who has come to redeem us from sin and death.
