Jesus Makes The Difference by HOP Blairsville

Chapter 1:1-5

The Holy Spirit is vital in our lives. The Spirit does the work of regeneration at salvation and gives the ability to live the Christian life daily.

Main Scripture passage: Acts 18:18-19:10

It's easy to feel like you're all alone in a situation. God has a special encouragement for us. He is always with us. Not only is that true, but God has people all over the world. We need to trust the presence of God in our lives and seek community with other believers.

Main Scripture passage: Acts 18:1-22

It is common to think that if there is a God, he can't be known. Or to believe in God but feel like he is far from you. In Acts 17, Paul makes this amazing statement: "he is actually not far from each one of us.”

Main Scripture passage: Acts 17:16-34

Disagreements are inevitable in life but they don't have to cause division. in Acts 15, a disagreement could have derailed Paul's secondary missionary journey, but instead the Gospel continues to go out to all the world.

Main Scripture passage: Acts 15:30-16:15

Every church has to make decisions that affect the people of the church. Not everyone agrees with every decision. Is there a basis for how decisions are made? Are there principles that guide us in our decision-making? The conflict in the church in Antioch gives us some insight into how we can work towards unity in the church.

Main Scripture passage: Acts 15:21-29

What must someone do to be right with God? The Gospel is a simple and powerful message. Christ offers salvation through his death on the cross. Acts 15 describes one of many times that down through the ages, this message has been opposed. Many alternatives have been proposed, most with something for us to do to earn God's favor on our own. It can't be done.

Main Scripture passage: Acts 15:1-21

As we finish Paul's first missionary journey, a pattern has emerged. Paul and Barnabas are intent on preaching the gospel and strengthening believers. They do this with great focus, setting aside those things that would distract them from their mission.

Main Scripture passage: Acts 14
