presumably you've all seen this week's story about Google silencing one of their own engineers for claiming the company's A.I. had become sentient, which was surprising on multiple levels.  For starters, I had no idea Allen Iverson was working for Google, but beyond that, of course he's sentient. I really don't understand how that's a controversial statement.
