The call to priesthood is one that requires discipline and endurance. It demands that we study and grow on the job, developing resilience along the way.   The Lord teaches in Matthew 17 that certain hindrances on the path of the priest cannot be removed except by prayer and fasting.   

Prayer and fasting, as the Lord teaches in today's message, "Except by Prayer and Fasting", leads us to take steps that condition us to gain access through faith, the things that the Lord makes available to us for the fulfillment of the heavenly vision.
