Romans 3:23 says: “Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives.” For years, many of us have heard this as failing to live up to God’s standard. But Paul is pointing to something far deeper. To fall short of the glory is to miss Christ Himself.

Adam’s choice in the garden was not about fruit — it was about source. To eat is to become one with what you choose. Adam ate of independence and became one with sin. We are invited to eat of Christ and become one with Him.
