My special guest this week is Rachel Zinman who has just written a brilliant book, Yoga for Diabetes, How to Manage your health with Yoga and Ayurveda.
Rachel Zinman has spent the last 34 years practicing enthusiastically as well as teaching nationally in Australia and internationally since 1992. She has studied with some of the most influential teachers in the west as well as immersing herself in the study and assimilation of the classical system of knowledge called Vedanta, in the lineage of Adi Shankara.
Rachel was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 42. This revolutionised how she practices and teaches yoga. Initially devastated, she has become an advocate for managing your health as an individual whether you have diabetes or not.
Her book can be found in major bookstores and Amazon. You can find more about where to get the book
• How the creative process actively heals us when we are emotionally upset or distraught
• How we can all thrive through dark times
• Why it’s important to practice yoga in a way that is suited to your body type and how you can get help finding out more.
You can read more about Rachel’s story, and connect with her via her blog
